Isa (Jesus) died on behalf of humans to satisfy the justice of God against their sin (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Allah created humans perfect. But Adam and Eve fell to the temptation of Satan and disobeyed Allah. Ever since Adam’s fall, sin has infected the human race like a deadly disease. Each person became guilty: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
After the fall of man, Allah promised to send the Savior who will redeem humanity (Genesis 3:15). And humans, before Isa, were instructed to sacrifice and shed the blood of innocent lambs as a symbol of the the Savior who will shed His blood on their behalf for the punishment they deserved. In the Koran we read:
Sin deserves punishment. A good judge will not just pardon sinners. A good judge will administer justice. Likewise, Allah did not just overlook Adam’s sin (Romans 2:1-11). Allah in His infinite mercy and love offered to atone for our sin by scarifying Isa. This is the ultimate love story “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13). In the Koran we read:
Those that accept Allah’s sacrifice by Isa and repent of their sins, get saved. But those that reject Isa’s sacrifice will have to pay for their sins by death in hell: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
