According to Moon, he is the Messiah of the Second Coming since Jesus will not be coming again (Divine Principle, pg. 520).
Satan has invented many false teachings about the second coming of the Messiah and is deceiving millions into believing that Messiah has already come or that He will come in some non-biblical manner. But Christ has warned us of Satan’s strategy, saying, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Matthew 24:4).
The Bible warns, “They are the spirits of devils, working miracles.” (Revelation 16:14); “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matthew 24:24).
These false Messiahs and prophets will do signs and wonders to deceive if possible the very elect. The implication is that these “signs” could be almost, but not entirely, convincing to “the very elect.” These faithful ones have obeyed the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans to “anoint” their “eyes with eyesalve” (Rev. 3:18), and are therefore able to distinguish between the true and the false.
Christ forewarned us, “Behold, I have told you before.” (Matthew 24:25). He stated specifically that the Messiah will not appear in the desert or come to the seance chambers (verse 26). There is no reason to be deceived if we learn what God’s book teaches about Messiah’s second coming. The acid test is this: What does the Bible teach about it? People who know what the Bible says about the second coming will not be led astray by Satan. “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20).
A genuine love for the truth and diligence in obeying all the instructions God has given for these last days will prove to be the only protection against the delusions of the enemy, the seducing spirits, and the doctrines of devils (2 Thess. 2:9–12).
